Marc-André Selosse on the ecology of plant associated truffles species

On December 2nd 2025, the NCCR Microbiomes Seminar Series is pleased to welcome Marc-André Selosse, Professor at the Institut de Systématique, Évolution, Biodiversité of the Museum national d’Histoire Naturelle in Paris.

Prof. Selosse specialises in soil microbiota and mycorrhizal symbioses, exploring how plant roots interact with soil fungi. Combining molecular biology tools such as next‑generation sequencing and transcriptomics with stable isotope analyses of carbon and nitrogen, their work sheds light on the ecology and evolution of symbiotic relationships. Drawing on a strong background in mycology and botany, they approach these studies with both molecular precision and a naturalist’s perspective.

Marc-André Selosse will give a talk entitled “The ecology of plant-associated truffles (Tuber spp.) species“. The seminar will take place on 2 December 2025, from 12h00 to 13h00 CET. You can access this public seminar through this Zoom link.
