NCCR Microbiomes Career Paths
Beyond Academia, many career paths are open to young scientists active in microbiome research. To illustrate that, the NCCR Microbiomes is thrilled to launch this autumn a new ‘Career Paths’ series of talks! We will regularly invite actors of the industry, start-ups, federal research institutes, and more, to tell us about their work and how they got there.
We will kick-off these career talks on Thursday, 7 October 2021, 12h15-13h00, with:
Tomas de Wouters, co-founder and CEO of the Swiss start-up PharmaBiome. Tomas has a PhD from INRA, the French National Institute for Agricultural Research, and was a Postdoc at the ETH Zurich, where, in 2015, he co-founded PharmaBiome as an ETH Pioneer Fellow. PharmaBiome is developing new therapeutic bacterial consortia to treat gastrointestinal diseases.
