Pascale Flury on plant-beneficial bacteria and disease suppression

On March 3rd 2026, the NCCR Microbiomes Seminar Series is pleased to welcome Dr. Pascale Flury, Lecturer at the Department of Environmental Sciences at the University of Basel.
Dr. Flury is a phytopathologist specialising in plant-beneficial rhizobacteria, particularly fluorescent Pseudomonas, and their role in protecting crops from pathogens and pests through ecological interactions. With a PhD from ETH Zurich and extensive postdoc experience across leading institutions, she now leads innovative research as Team Leader in Plant Microbe Interactions at the University of Basel’s Department of Environmental Sciences.
Pascale Flury will give a talk entitled “Understanding compost microbiomes to develop microbial solutions against emerging soilborne pathogens“. The seminar will take place on 3 March 2026, from 12h00 to 13h00 CET. You can access this public seminar through this Zoom link.
