Julia Vorholt awarded the Feodor Lynen Medal and elected International Member of the National Academy of Sciences

This spring, our NCCR co-director Julia Vorholt has received two prestigious honors, which are testimony to the excellence of her research.

End of March, Prof. Vorholt was awarded the Feodor Lynen Medal 2024 by the German Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the 75th Mosbacher Kolloquium. On this occasion, she gave a special evening lecture entitled “Reverse engineering of plant microbiomes”.

End of April, the National Academy of Sciences of the USA announced that Prof. Vorholt had been elected as an International Member, among 24 distinguished scientists from all around the world. Election to NAS membership recognizes important and continued scientific achievements in original research.
