Microbial patterns at the EPFL Pavilions exhibition “Shapes: Patterns in Art and Science”.

The EPFL Pavilions will host the exhibition “Shapes: Patterns in Art and Science“. From 17 January to 9 March 2025, the public is invited to discover the subtle beauty revealed by simple, repetitive patterns in nature. Covering mathematics, material sciences and biology, the exhibition will bring together scientific works and artistic creations. Among others, work by NCCR Microbiomes PhD student Estelle Pignon, whose research focuses on spatial pattern formation of different microbial communities, will be showcased.
