Pascale Vonaesch promoted to Associate Professor

We’re delighted to share that our colleague Pascale Vonaesch, Principal Investigator in the NCCR Microbiomes, has been awarded tenure by the University of Lausanne as of November 1st 2026.

The Vonaesch group at UNIL investigates the role of the gut microbiota in malnutrition and the interplay between gut health, infection, and nutrition. Through clinical and translational research, particularly in low- and middle-income countries, and the study of underlying molecular mechanisms, the group aims to advance understanding of these conditions and contribute to the development of innovative interventions and treatments. Their research is also part of the broader collaborative efforts of the NCCR Microbiomes.

This important milestone recognises Pascale’s academic excellence, dedication to research and her contribution to the scientific community. We are proud to have Pascale and her group as part of our research consortium and look forward to our continuing collaboration.
