A workshop for young and aspiring entrepreneurs

Bench2Biz is a consortium of NCCRs that aims to promote technology transfer and a culture of entrepreneurship amongst young researchers. Bench2Biz organises a yearly workshop where aspiring entrepreneurs can bring forward their business idea and get informed feedback from technology transfer experts. Supported by a team of academics and industry specialists, the participants will work to bring their initial idea to a true concept stage.

The next workshop will take place between 18-24 November 2025 (with an online seminar on 11 November). Bench2Biz is funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, and actively supported by the Federal Institute for Intellectual Property (IPI). The NCCR Microbiomes is thrilled to be among the organisers, together with its NCCR partners NCCR PlanetS, NCCR RNA&Disease, NCCR Bio-Inspired Materials, NCCR AntiResist, NCCR Molecular Systems Engineering, NCCR SPIN, and NCCR Automation.
